Stakeholders' Fora
The purpose of this task is to familiarise all stakeholders in each country with the
objectives and activities of the project and to bring together experts from across sectors and disciplines to adapt project products into policy briefings of use to government, business and other stakeholders. Inclusion of stakeholders in any project ensures that the project is successful and receives wider acceptance.
It is in these meetings that strategies and approaches for communication and awareness raising is co-designed. Stakeholder fora is held in each country once a year.
These fora will be interdisciplinary and aimed at sharing information and gaining knowledge and devising mechanisms of including other ideas into this emerging work
After the kick-off workshop, workshops are held in each partner country. Stakeholder representative is identified at each level of DVC and their support institutions. Through a participatory workshop (in month 3), the knowledge, attitudes and practices of target stakeholders is analysed.
The goal of the workshop is to agree on the modalities of the implementation of the project. The representatives are given comprehensive briefing about the project, using the principle of ‘Prior Informed Concept.
This ensure ownership, relevance and sustainability of the project. Stakeholder fora is held in each country once a year.
