Project Monitoring and Coordination
The purpose of this task is to ensure progress and success
of all activities of the project and that all partners participate in decision-making which is a prerequisite for project success. In addition, this task also ensures continuous management, early detection of arising difficulties and recommend due adjustment.
Kick-off Workshop and Further Meetings
The purpose of this task is to familiarise all partners with status quo of teaching at the universities in order to identify possibilities to integrate new curriculum elements and programmes of the dairy industry. In addition, it is in these meetings that the steps to be taken within each area of activity is clarified and working and communication procedures established.
Project Evaluation and Follow-up
The purpose of this task is to assess progress of the project and its activities with the aim of identifying critical points, problems and need for improvement of procedures or adjustment of the work plan. The task will also provide the opportunity to assess success including lessons learnt and ensure that the purpose of the action is reached. The task also assist in the assessment of how far it has contributed to overall objectives and improvement of the target groups to ensure sustainable success of the project and proper incorporation of all new curriculum elements.
Gender Mainstreaming
The purpose of this task is to promote gender mainstreaming as a cross-cutting issue in all project activities. The project team include gender experts who work with staff from partner HEI to identify the gender issues involved in each set of activities, to raise awareness of these issues among stakeholders and to take joint action upon them. With the support of the gender experts, project teams then undertake the planned interventions, with outputs being monitored jointly and reported upon in the project progress reports. The project envisage the active involvement of gender institutes in the partner HEI in all gender mainstreaming activities, including training and awareness raising. Activities planned include a gender audit of the partner HEI (departments dealing with the DVC), gender mainstraining in curricula and teaching and co-operation with stakeholders in improving a more female friendly working environment.
