Labour Market Needs

The purpose of this task is to provide labour market demand and supply information relevant

for the improvement of quality of labour in the sector on one hand and to inform the curricula development and review process for the partner HEI.

A workshop will be held at EGU for all partner universities with the following objectives: To train and guide the participating teaching staff in setting up a survey to determine the competences needed in the working environment of future graduates and to train the participating teaching staff in the principles and practice of competence based learning, i.e. using competence profiles and applying relevant tactical skills.

This includes explanation of and training in principles and practice of competence based learning; design of a questionnaire to determine the labour market needs for graduates; discussion on curriculum design based on competence profiles and skill development (feedback, active listening, etc).

The assessment of the dairy labour market needs is based on face to face or phone interviews with stakeholders in the DVC.

The interview consists of a questionnaire and scorecard (The scorecard tests competences that are derived from the tasks of persons engaged in the functions in the DVC).
