SNV through its Kenya Marketled Development Programme (KMDP) and specifically Vocational Skills Development (VoSD) supports knowledge transfer in the dairy sector because practical skills are one of the major hindrance to a competitive dairy sector. Working with EDFA, SNV builds capacity of farmers, consultants and students through practical skills development to ensure that practices are structured and conform to the good dairy farm practices. Due to this, CoELIB posted students interns to work in EDFA farms to gain practical skills.

This training which was conducted from 12th-13th of July 2016 at Willens Practical Dairy Training Centre (PDTC), Eldoret was organized with an aim of demonstrating practical principles of good dairy farm management, advisory and important practices in dairy farming.
